What Inspired Me To Cook

Hi my name is Michaela and I love to bake. This is a place where I will write about what's cookin' in my kitchen, what ideas are cookin' in my head, and anything else that is on my heart.

A little about me ... this is how I came to love baking.

A few years ago I didn't really have a special talent.  I tried so many different talents to see what I was good at.  Then when I was in Spanish class, watching some Mexican food cooking online, I thought it looked cool but I wasn't sure if I'd ever do it.  The next day I realized Mothers day was coming soon, and I did not know what to get my Mom for a Mothers day present.  I remembered the recipe from the day before and I decided I would go do that.  I made paella and severed it and everybody loved it :D!

A few days later I went to my Grandmas and when I walked into the room everybody was talking about my dish.  I was a little shocked.  Then my aunt said, "Maybe you could help out your cousin and teach him things about cooking."  I didn't really know how to cook, I just got the idea off line. From that day many people started calling me a chef.  I baked and cooked for many things after that because of my family members.  I learned many things from a special youtuber (that helped me out on my very first dish) Laura in the Kitchen.  A year later I wanted to share my recipes with others. My family surprised me with this blog place, a place to share my recipes and thoughts about cooking and baking with you, and I am very excited about it.

Me making my first real dish (paella)!

Check out Laura Vitale's AMAZING paella recipe here.
I hope you love it as much as I did! She inspires me!

                                                                 Goodbye for now :)
